As the new Head of Academy, I am delighted to introduce myself. I feel extremely honoured and privileged to have been chosen to continue to build upon the success the academy has already achieved. For the last 19 years, I have been a Teacher and Senior Leader in schools across Derby providing leadership support to a range of academies on a rapid improvement journey. My primary focus has been improving teaching and learning across the primary age phase.
On behalf of the Trust, staff and the children of Ash Croft Primary Academy, I would like to warmly welcome you to our website and to thank you for taking an interest in our ‘Incredible’ academy. Our Vision is to provide the best opportunities for you (or your child) to:
#Discover YOUR Incredible.
At Ash Croft that means:
This ethos is at the heart of the academy and contributes to the shared goal of ensuring that our children move on to the next stage of their education as confident, competent learners. We want the children to be happy and excited about coming to school to learn and to develop their knowledge, skills and understanding across a wide and varied curriculum.
At Ash Croft Primary Academy, the staff and Trust work in partnership with parents and carers. We value the contributions of our parents, carers and extended families and are committed to building strong links within the community. We know that a happy, successful school depends on us all working together as partners in education. As key educators in your children’s lives, we feel that it is important that you have a voice and that as an academy we are approachable and allocate time to listen to your suggestions, worries or thoughts. We are delighted to talk with you about any aspect of your child’s learning and how you can support them at home.
If you are considering sending your child to our wonderful academy, please contact the office so that we can arrange a visit for you.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our academy website.
