World Wide Wednesday

From June 2021 we are running a programme which will be known as ‘World Wide Wednesday’ where we will be informing you about all the safety aspects of the things that your children are likely to have access to when playing or chatting on-line.

We will be making you aware of all the apps out there, what they do, how you can make sure that your settings are set correctly so that your children can only access age appropriate sites, what you need to be looking out for and what to do if you feel that something is unsafe or not suitable for your child.

We want the children to have fun on line, in a safe environment.

Every Wednesday, we will be sending out via Dojo an individual link to each of the related subjects, one per week.

You will also receive a reminder, to remind you to take a look. It will only take 2 minutes out of your busy schedule, but the information you will receive is up to date and very relevant to the Wide world that your child lives in.

The information is taken from the National Online Safety site, which all parents have access to…don’t forget to take a look around the site and why not even complete the very short training courses (2-3 minutes long) to keep you all up to speed.

If you have any questions please speak to Mrs Twigg, our inclusion manager.
