World Wide Wednesday

Since June 2021 we have been running a programme known as ‘World Wide Wednesday’ where we share with you information about the safety aspects of the things that your children are likely to have access to when playing or chatting on-line.

We want to help you be aware of all the apps out there, what they do, how you can make sure that you know to have settings in place to ensure that your children can only access age appropriate sites, what you need to be looking out for and what to do if you feel that something is unsafe or not suitable for your child.

We want the children to have fun on line, in a safe environment.

We regularly review that new information is coming to our attendtion and any topics that need revisiting.

Every Wednesday we send out, via Dojo, an individual link to each of the related subjects, one per week and you can also check back on the website for any you may have missed or want to go through again.

You will  receive reminders from time to time encouraging you to take a look. It will only take 2 minutes out of your busy schedule, but the information you will receive is up to date and very relevant to the Wide world that your child lives in.

The information is taken from the National Online Safety site, which all parents have access to…don’t forget to take a look around the site and why not even complete the very short training courses (2-3 minutes long) to keep you all up to speed.

If you have any questions please speak to Mrs Twigg, our inclusion manager.
